The Richard DeWert photographs collections is comprised of 61 black-and-white photographic prints showing Portland and Oregon locales circa 1880 to 1900. Although many of the collection's photographs document the 1890 and 1894 floods of downtown Portland, the collection also includes additional locations in Oregon such as the Morrison Bridge and Oregonian Building in Portland, Oswego, Yaquina Bay, Willamette Falls, and Mount Hood. The collection features several photographs created by George Davies of the Davies Studio in Portland. The collection is partially processed.
